@thesamparr Here I found it. It's a bit long (and dry lol) but great. Read the part "Static Stretching as an Integral Part of a Full Warm-Up Routine" and it'll give you more context. But Layne's right. Static stretching alone ain't great and might hurt.

This is the "recent research" referred to in NYT article as "busting myth" that you should stretch before exercise. Best evidence is that only after 1 min per muscle group do you see negative effects (and there are also positives) https://t.co/H8xB0pUmPu
