@Hobbesdawg Well, we aren't really sure - there's no way to measure it directly. There have been two good studies of lava-lake cooling rates at Kilauea (see attached). So, it's probably between 1.5-3.5 m (5-10 ft) thick at this point. https://t.co/g1lMs0
